A consensus-based master planning process for the Westminster School District, identifying “high performance, 21st-century learning environments” as one of the guiding principles for the future of the district. Using site needs assessments, financial and demographic projections and a facilitated process of identifying key long-term educational programming goals, the plan resulted in a consensus-based, 20-year vision for district facilities and prioritization of district goals into a concise plan for implementation. The project includes a new STEM science, technology, graphics and makeshift lab building; a new gym and music studios complex; quad and lunch shelter; and transformation of the old MPR’s into a library, student research and resource center.
